ROAD TO COSTA RICA 2022: We Want to Make Ghana Proud-Badu
We want to make our nation proud by qualifying to the Costa Rica Under-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup, says Ghana captain Evelyn Badu.
And coach Ben Fokuo says the squad had benefited from a lengthy camp ahead of the Zambia game.
During a pre-match press conference, Badu said the Black Princesses had prepared well for the Zambia clash.
“Me and my colleagues are here to raise the image of Ghana high, to make ourselves and Ghana proud too,” said the Haaackass star.
“We are very well prepared for tomorrow’s game against Zambia.”
And Fokuo said the Black Princesses were looking to start brightly to render the home tie a formality.
He said his team was aiming to join other Ghanaian teams that had made it to the world cup.
“It is Ghana that has been to the world cup and not this team. this particular group of players have the kind of quality that can win the game and qualify,” he said.
Zambia and Ghana lock horns on Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium in the first leg of the fourth round of the Costa Rica 2022 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Winners over two legs will qualify to the next round.
Tickets for the match have been pegged at K20 (open wing) and K100 (Grandstand).
