Nsabata, Kangwa Jet In ahead of Mauritania tie

In-form South Africa based goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata and Russia based forward Evans ‘Kalulu’ Kangwa have become the first foreign based players to jet in ahead of Saturday’s Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Nsabata who is on the books of Sekhukhune in the DStv Premiership has been on song keeping four clean sheets in five matches and has racked several Man of the Match accolades.

The duo joined the afternoon training session at National Heroes Stadium where the local assemblage entered day two of preparations.

More foreign based players are expected to join camp on Wednesday as Zambia prepares for back-to-back clashes against Mauritania and Tunisia on Saturday and Tuesday respectively.

Coach Beston Chambeshi and Technical Advisor Aljosa Asanovic has named a strong squad that comprises 12 foreign based players.

Tunisia tops Group B with 10 points while Equatorial Guinea is second on seven points with Zambia third on four points.

Mauritania is rock bottom with one point gotten off Tunisia.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has given Zambia permission to admit 30, 000 fans at National Heroes Stadium for the home match.
