Tickets for Mauritania Match Go on Sale…as CAF Nods 30, 000 Fans
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has okayed the request by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to admit 30, 000 fans for the November 13 Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Zambia and Mauritania.
FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says the request is subject to the adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
Kashala says FAZ will work closely with the Ministry of Health in ensuring that the set guidelines are adhered to.
“We are happy to announce that our request to partially admit fans in the National Heroes Stadium has been granted by CAF. We are grateful that CAF has allowed after assessing the prevailing situation in Zambia in terms of Covid-19,” he says.
“Let me also advise members of the public to buy their tickets ahead of time as no tickets will be sold at the match venue. All tickets will be sold in Shoprite outlets via Computicket. Tickets are already on sale.”
He adds: “We will also have Ministry of Health officials set up vaccination centres around the stadium for Covid-19.”
Tickets for the match are on sale across Shoprite outlets via Computicket and are fetching K30 (South and North Wing), K50 (East Wing), K70 (West Wing) and K250 (VIP).
Tunisia tops Group B on 10 points while Equatorial Guinea has seven with Zambia in third with four. At the tail-end is Mauritania with one point.
The match will kick-off at 15:00 hours on Saturday (November 13, 2021).
