Eswatini Referees Appointed for Friday’s FIFA Women Qualifier
FIFA has appointed referees from Eswatini to handle this Friday’s Costa Rica 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier, second round, first leg encounter between Zambia and Malawi set for Nkoloma Stadium.
The quartet comprises Letticia Viana, Siphiwayikhosi Cosma Nxumalo, Patricia Buyile Mkhaliph and Rebeccah Tencwala Tencwala Soko.
Zambia plays Malawi at home on September 24 at Nkoloma Stadium with the junior Copper Queens away on October 9 in Lilongwe.
Coach Charles Haalubono and technical bench are expecting to take a second bite at the cherry after having failed at the first attempt in the cancelled qualifiers in the wake of the first wave of the Covid-19.
Meanwhile a Zambian contingent will handle the second leg match between Namibia and Burundi.
The Zambian referees will have Patience Mumba in the middle of the pack while Diana Chikotesha and Mercy Zulu will be deployed as assistants.
