We Have to Be Careful-Leopards Coach

Royal Leopards of Eswatini coach Edwin Matsebula says his team is wary of the threat posed by Zesco United when the two sides clash on Saturday in the preliminary round, second leg of the CAF Champions League in Ndola.

Addressing a media briefing, Matsebula said the 1-0 lead from the home match is enough for Leopards as Zesco United had the capacity to hit back.

“The one zero is not enough, they (Zesco United) can score more with the quality they have, if we are not careful,” he said.

He said that having little knowledge about Zesco United before the first leg threw his team off balance in the early minutes of the home tie.

Matsebula said Zesco United were expected to be wounded for the home tie as they sought to salvage their campaign.

“Tomorrow’s game is a new game all together, we know the quality of Zesco United, they are a quality side. They gave us a tough time at home, we expect it to be more than what it they were at home because they are playing at their background,” he said,

“We have planned for them, though I cannot reveal my game plan yet.  We will not sit back and allow Zesco to do as they want. We are here to compete against them we will fight until they get tired.”

Zesco United trail Leopards 1-0 from the first leg and will be looking to overturn the score at home and qualify to the first round of the 2021/2022 CAF Champions League.
