Kaindu Warns Against Complacency
Zanaco Football Club coach Kelvin Kaindu says his players need to be careful when they face Akonangui FC of Equatorial Guinea in Saturday’s 2021/22 CAF Champions League preliminary round, second leg match.
The Bankers head into tomorrow’s tie with a reassuring 2-0 advantage following Sunday’s win at the Estadio de Ebebiyin, but Kaindu called on the players to forget about the first leg result and seek another win.
“If we can just focus on the game that we are playing, then that is what will determine our passage in the next round,” said Kaindu at the pre-match press conference Friday morning.
“Our focus is on tomorrow’s game and the players should forget about the first leg. It(the first leg win) is an advantage but football has become dynamic, you can win away from home and get another result (at home).”
All players except defender Eric Owusu are available for selection, with the Ghanaian on the mend after suffering an injury in the first leg encounter.
