Chipolopolo leave for Senegal friendly
Chipolopolo are off to Senegal to face the Teranga Lions in an international friendly set for June 5 in Thies.
Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s charges left the country aboard Ethiopian Airlines and will make a stopover in Addis Ababa before proceeding to Thies via Dakar.
After the friendly with the Aliou Cisse coached Senegal, Zambia will face Benin on June 8 before facing Sudan in Omdurman three days later.
On Monday afternoon, striker Rodger Kola scored a lone goal to give the Chipolopolo a 1-0 win over City of Lusaka in a practice match played at Woodlands stadium.
The ZANACO skipper found the back of the net from close range to complete a well-orchestrated move in the first half of the second practice match.
Micho used the match to test the fitness and competitive levels of his players, with 18 year old Cardiff City midfielder Ntazana Mayembe featuring in the game.
