Nkana pick away win against Tanzania’s Namungo FC

Zambia’s Nkana FC have picked their first win in Group D of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday away to Tanzania’s Namungo FC.

Although the home side dominated play at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, it was Nkana FC who made it count when they scored through Diamond Chikwekwe in the 69th minute.

The win sent Nkana FC to third place with 3 points, while Raja Casablanca who defeated Pyramids (Egypt) 2-0 in another Group D match played on Sunday go top of the log with 9 points. Pyramids are second with 6 points and Namungo are bottom with no points.

Zambia’s second representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup NAPSA Stars FC on Sunday failed to utilize home advantage losing 1-0 to Cameroon’s Coton Sport in Group B match. Abdouraman Daman Bouba scored the lone goal after 16 minutes.

NAPSA Stars are bottom of the group with 1 point, while Coton Sport are top with 6 points. JS Kabylie who face RSB Berkane are second on the table with 4 points.
