Zambia U-17 Boys Get Down to Work in Rabat
The Zambia under-17 Men’s National Team has gotten to work in Rabat, Morocco ahead of the Total Africa Cup of Nations that runs from March 13-31.
Coach George Chilufya has been running the boys through the paces at the Terrain de Football in Moulay Rachid district, Rabat.
Zambia is in Group A alongside hosts Morocco. Ivory Coast and Uganda.
“As usual when you travel the first thing you must do is acclimatize so our first session this morning was about that,” said Chilufya after the team’s first session.
“The weather pattern is not so bad, a bit cloudy and a bit of rains but I think they boys will be okay. These are boys that are developing so they need our guidance, we are having individual discussions. Some of them it is the first time to be here.”
He added: “Concentration should always be high; I am not worried about fitness, but we are going to concentrate on tactics and the mental aspect of the game.”
The under-17 will play their first match on March 14 against hosts Morocco.
