NAPSA draw defending champions RS Berkane
Zambian envoys NAPSA Stars have been drawn with defending champions RS Berkane of Morocco in Group B of the 2020/2021 Total CAF Confederation Cup.
The pensioners, who are making their debut in continental football, will also fight for two available quarter-final slots in the group with JS Kabylie of Algeria and Coton Sport FC of Cameroon.
Mohamed Fathi’s side will commence the continental journey away to RS Berkane on 10 March 2021. The draws for the Group stage were conducted yesterday in Cairo, Egypt at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Meanwhile, Zambian champions Nkana are in Group D with 2018 champions Raja Casablanca of Morocco but will begin their journey away at last year’s losing finalists Pyramids of Egypt. The other group member is yet to be finalised between Tanzania’s Namungo FC and CD 1 de Agosto of Angola.
Group A has Enyimba FC of Nigeria, E.S Setifienne of Algeria, Orlando Pirates of South Africa and Ahli Benghazi of Libya.
Group C consists of CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, Salitas FC of Burkina Faso, ASC Jaraaf of Senegal while the last remaining slot will be decided between Etoile Sportive du Sahel and Young Buffaloes.
